NEUMA is a scientific journal, free and open access scientific journal of the Music Theory Department at  the University of Talca , wich publishes original articles to dissemination and promotion of musicological research and teaching discipline . It is a space created to encourage reflection , criticism and analysis of music, from creation and teaching. Its contents cover a wide thematic range around the creative processes of Latin American music scene , as well as relevant aspects for the generation of debate and discussion in depth at different levels of disciplinary training. Open Access Policy : This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Neuma is a non-profit, biannual journal with no APC (Article Processing Charge), so it does not charge its authors for publishing and is funded only through its own funds.
